Did a search for part number AP2030996 and was taken to a page showing four items including this one. As three of the pictures looked correct I was left with a choice of this, the WB44X5099, and two versions of the WB44T10010. As this item was $15 and the others were $25 and $28, I chose this one. Wrong choice.
Upon receiving this item and finding it to be the incorrect I reviewed the postings and found the following; The picture for this item on the search page and the first, (of three pictures), on the item page are incorrect (and are instead the WB44T10010). I am returning this item and have already ordered the other.
I offer the following information in hopes it helps others in avoiding my mistake.
1) The main heating element loops look almost exactly the same.
2) The major noticeable difference between the two items is that the WB44T10010 has prongs that extend 3 inches behind the plate and bend up halfway back at a 45 degree angle. The WB44X5099 has prongs that extend 1 1/2 inches straight back.
3) Connectors; WB44T10010 has flat "slide-on" plates. WB44x5099 plates have threaded holes for screws.
4) Mounting holes; WB44T10010 has two round holes with centers 2 3/4 inches apart. WB44X5099 has slanted holes with centers 3 1/2 inches apart.
5) Where the element enters the plate; WB44T10010 elements are 2 3/4 inches apart (immediately below the mounting holes). WB44X5099 elements are 1 1/4 inches apart.
Final notes; I only gave this item three stars as it wasn't an item I can use and it was misrepresented in photos. The product, for all I know, may work fine for you. Hopefully Amazon will fix this problem. It arrived two days after an evening order which was impressive. Hope this info helped.
Noticed that our oven was not working and suspected it would be expensive. However, a bit of looking the web indicated that the heating elements often go out (like after 20 years or so) and that they are easy to replace. I shopped around on the internet and found Amazon had a reasonable price. Unit came in about 3 days; took 5 minutes to install, using one screw driver. Works fine now.
