I purchased the Farberware Classic Yosemite 8-Cup Stainless Steel Percolator just after battling with various automatic-drip coffee makers. All I wanted was a hot cup of coffee! Now that I have given up on automatic-drip coffee makers and selected to use a percolator, a relic from childhood, I enjoy a piping hot cup of coffee every single day, as opposed to lukewarm brown water. This percolater is effortless to use, cleanup is quick, my coffee tastes greater, and the marvelous smell permeates my kitchen as it perks. Why automatic-drip coffee makers ever came to be is beyond me. Yet another example of the old adage, "If it ain't broke, do not repair it."

Just a standard stove prime percolator operates just fine. Nothing fancy, but operates. Authentic and utilitarian. Best for Mom. Oh yes, that's who this was for at Christmas. Mom loves it way more than the modest Television in the Kitchen. It was just what she wanted.
